Job Description

We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Carpenter to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for constructing, installing, repairing, and maintaining structures and fixtures made from wood and other materials. This role requires excellent hands-on skills, precision, and a solid understanding of construction practices and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Maintain tools and work area in clean, working condition.

Follow all safety guidelines and regulations on job sites.

Collaborate with other trades (electricians, plumbers, etc.) to complete projects.

Inspect products and conduct quality control to ensure work meets standards.

Use hand tools, power tools, and woodworking machinery safely and efficiently.

Build and repair cabinets, furniture, and other wooden items.

Install frameworks, structures, fixtures, and fittings such as windows, doors, staircases, and molding.

Measure, cut, and shape wood, drywall, and other materials.

Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and technical specifications.

Skills/Qualifications Required

Valid driver’s license (if travel is required between sites).

High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training or apprenticeship is a plus.

Good physical condition and strength; able to lift heavy materials and work at heights.

Ability to read blueprints and technical documents.

Strong understanding of carpentry techniques and construction methods.

Proficient in using carpentry tools and equipment.

Proven experience as a carpenter in residential or commercial construction.

Salary

Range: FJD 1,040 - FJD 1,200 / month
