Job Description
We are seeking an enthusiastic, organized, and energetic Activities Manager to lead and oversee all recreational, watersports and guest engagement activities at our island resort. The ideal candidate will create unforgettable experiences for guests, from adventure excursions to cultural experiences and daily resort entertainment, all while ensuring safety, quality, and seamless execution.
Skills/Qualifications Required
Key Responsibilities:Promote activities through resort channels, including digital signage, daily newsletters, and in-person interactions.
Train, schedule, and evaluate activities staff to maintain a high level of professionalism, enthusiasm, and guest service.
Track guest participation, gather feedback, and adjust offerings to enhance satisfaction and repeat engagement.
Manage inventory of equipment and supplies; ensure proper maintenance and timely replacements.
Ensure safety standards and protocols are strictly followed in all activity-related operations.
Coordinate with other departments (e.g. F&B, Spa, Guest Services) to create integrated guest experiences.
Lead and supervise the activities team, ensuring exceptional delivery of all programs including water sports, land excursions, fitness classes, cultural workshops, themed events, and kids’ club activities.
Design and implement a diverse, dynamic, and engaging schedule of activities tailored to different guest profiles (families, couples, solo travelers, etc.).
Requirements:
Physically fit and able to work outdoors in a tropical climate.
Fluent in English; additional languages are an asset.
Certification in first aid/CPR; water safety or dive certifications are a plus.
Ability to multitask and adapt in a fast-paced, ever-changing resort environment.
Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities with a passion for guest service.
Strong leadership and team management skills.
Proven experience (3+ years) in activities, recreation, or events management, preferably in a luxury resort or cruise setting.
