💼 About the Role
Reporting directly to the Front Office Manager, the Guest Services Agent is a front-line ambassador for our guests ensuring seamless arrivals and departures, assisting with inquiries, and delivering outstanding service with every interaction.
You’ll be the key point of contact for our guests providing check-ins and check-outs, handling foreign exchange, and responding to inquiries with warmth and professionalism. Your role is pivotal in shaping each guest’s stay.
🗓️ Your Day-to-Day:
- Deliver consistent, memorable service while maintaining confidentiality and professionalism
- Stay updated on IHG promotions and loyalty programs
- Ensure VIPs and IHG Loyalty Members receive outstanding service
- Maintain a clean and organized front desk area
- Process and audit nightly reports when on night shift
- Collaborate with Housekeeping and Concierge to coordinate guest requests
- Assist with booking onward stays at other IHG properties when required
- Respond to guest inquiries and resolve issues promptly and professionally
- Handle payments, cashier duties, and foreign currency exchange
- Maintain detailed knowledge of hotel policies, standards, and procedures
- Perform check-in/check-out and room changes with accuracy and efficiency
- Greet all guests with genuine warmth and remember names wherever possible
Skills/Qualifications Required
✅ What We’re Looking For:
- Ability to work independently and handle pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Positive attitude, professional appearance, and a team player
- Able to work nights, weekends, and public holidays as needed
- Detail-oriented with the ability to multi-task and prioritize
- Tech-savvy and comfortable with reservation systems and Microsoft Office
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Fluent in written and spoken English
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in a 5-star front desk or guest services role
- Diploma or qualification in Hospitality or Tourism
