About the Role
Hilton Fiji Beach Resort & Spa is seeking a passionate and experienced Landscape Manager to lead the care and transformation of our stunning outdoor spaces — from tropical gardens and expansive lawns to beachfront areas. This is a senior-level role that blends hands-on horticultural work with strategic planning, budgeting, and team leadership.
As Landscape Manager, you will ensure the resort’s grounds remain vibrant, safe, and guest-ready year-round, while contributing to Hilton’s global Travel with Purpose sustainability mission. You’ll collaborate across departments, lead a dedicated grounds crew, and deliver an outdoor experience that enhances every guest’s stay.
Key Responsibilities:
🌺 Landscape & Grounds Management
- Plan and execute long-term landscaping projects and renovations.
- Maintain lush gardens, lawns, and beach areas to Hilton brand standards.
- Oversee all landscaping operations including planting, pruning, fertilizing, irrigation, mowing, and pest control.
🌊 Beach Maintenance
- Respond to weather conditions and coordinate cleanup post-storm.
- Manage daily beachfront upkeep: sand leveling, debris removal, erosion control.
💧 Irrigation & Systems Oversight
- Schedule fertilization and watering in alignment with seasonal needs.
- Maintain irrigation systems for efficient water usage and optimal plant health.

- Provide ongoing technical guidance and performance feedback.
- Foster a supportive, collaborative, and high-performance culture.
- Recruit, train, and lead the grounds and beach maintenance team.
💼 Budget & Vendor Management
- Coordinate with vendors for specialized landscaping or maintenance work.
- Oversee purchasing, cost tracking, and resource allocation.
- Develop and manage department budgets and inventory.
♻️ Sustainability & Compliance
- Uphold Hilton’s mission of minimizing environmental impact and promoting biodiversity.
- Ensure safety, environmental compliance, and proper handling of tools and chemicals.
- Implement eco-friendly practices aligned with Hilton’s sustainability targets.
🎉 Guest Experience Support
- Keep outdoor areas clean, safe, and inviting at all times.
- Respond promptly to landscaping-related guest and team member requests.
- Collaborate with other departments for outdoor events, weddings, and F&B setups.
Skills/Qualifications Required
✅ Skills & Competencies
- Proficient in MS Office and landscaping software
- Familiarity with environmental and coastal regulations
- Excellent communication and collaboration across teams
- Strong planning, organization, and project management skills
- Advanced knowledge of tropical horticulture and irrigation systems
- Proactive, solutions-driven mindset
- Strong leadership and team management abilities
🧠 Experience & Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Horticulture, Agriculture, Landscape Architecture, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- Experience in tropical resort settings strongly preferred
- 5+ years in commercial or resort landscape management (3+ years in a supervisory role)
🌦️ Working Conditions
- Flexibility to work early mornings, weekends, or during events/storm response
- Physical activity required: walking, lifting, ladder use, machinery operation
- Mostly outdoors in tropical climate (sun, humidity, rain)
